WHO WE ARE & WHAT WE BELIEVE

Norwalk Alliance Church is part of the Christian & Missionary Alliance. It began as a small movement of Christians led by A.B. Simpson in 1887 to preach about Jesus as our Savior, Sanctifier, Healer, and Coming King, and completing His Great Commission, and now has grown into a movement of 6 million Christians in over 20,000 churches worldwide. In the United States, the Alliance has over 500,000 Christians in 2,000 churches. Norwalk Alliance Church is part of the Central District which covers eastern Ohio and all of West Virginia.
 

At Norwalk Alliance Church, we are currently focusing on four priorities:

  1. Know Jesus.

  2. Grow - Heart, Soul, Mind & Strength. Grow intentionally as followers of Jesus. 
      Go deeper in knowing and applying God's Word, the Bible.

  3. Live Healthy Lives -Family, Relationships, Community, Self.

  4. Go - We share Jesus and are connected to the work of the C&MA around the world.

Kevin Seager

Senior Pastor

 

Kevin was born in Holland as a British citizen, and grew up mostly in metro Washington D.C.  His wife Karen was born in Aruba, and together with their four kids, the Seagers claim four different countries as their birthplaces. Kevin has over 30 years of pastoral ministry experience, including twelve years of church planting in Spain.

 

Some of his favorite things include hiking, running, and hanging out with family and friends.  He loves to teach the Bible and help people come to faith and be grounded in Jesus.

Jay Kelker

Worship Director

 

Jay is a vocalist, worship leader, songwriter, producer, and owner of Jam Factory Recording Studios. Jay began worshipping at a young age at his mother’s church in Dover, Ohio and started directing the choir by high school. He continued his musical studies and earned a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Akron, where he met his wife, Cathy. He and his wife started ministering through music in 1988 and have released four recording projects.

 

Jay was guest soloist with the Akron Symphony Orchestra and Chorus in Grammy-nominated composer Billy Child’s 1997 debut performance of “Just Like Job”.

Jay enjoys working with musicians and leading congregations in worship to foster spiritual growth. In his spare time, he teaches voice lessons and records musicians in his home recording studio. Jay and Cathy enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren.

Suzie Schmitt

Children's Director

Suzie was born and raised in Louisiana and met her now husband, Joe, while attending Oklahoma State University. She spent a year in China after graduating and worked as a college minister at Virginia Tech for 6 years before moving to Ohio 5 years ago. 

 

She and Joe have two girls. She absolutely loves being their mom!  

 

She enjoys crafting, baking, and anything outdoors. She drinks way too much coffee from previously operating an espresso catering business. She desires to help people grow in their personal relationship with Jesus and live into the fulfilled and abundant life he offers.

Office Manager

Connie has been serving in church administration for 14 years.  She lives in the area with her husband of 35 years.  They have 3 adult children and 6 grandchildren. 

Connie enjoys helping and encouraging others and always greets you with a smile.
